Let's Stay Together - Al Green

Someone had requested this tune a while back. I am requesting feedback on the first and second endings: do you think the chords are Dm9 both bars, D9 both bars, or does it go from Dm9 to D9? I have never been able to hear those chords.

Stephen is right: the 5th bar of the B section as well as the coda should be G-7.

I also hear Db or Db^7 in the 7th bar of the A section.
The D9 sounds right at the end of the A section. (the bass player plays a high F#).

Also, since the 1st and 2nd ending are the same you could just skip them and save a line.

I hear the Db and D9 (thank you). I am still hearing Bb after listening to the song again, not Gm7. The bassist is hitting Bb. Massimo can you make the changes? The app shuts down on me when I try to save the changes I am trying to make. Thx.

Oh jeez. I didn't find this post before I posted another let's stay together chart in this forum. Well looking at both of yours, it looks like we're all on the same page, except for a few things. Take a look

Let's Stay Together (Correct from Chuck Sher's New Real Book)

So here is a version of Al Green's Let's Stay Together.

No offense to the other versions up here, but they are all wrong, incorrect chords and incorrect form. If you play the chords in those versions with people who know this song, they will ask you what the hell you are doing, because those chords are not right. These are the chords from transcribed chart that appears in the NRB.

Basso, you got it right sort of. Someone (like me) posts a song. Then someone else looks at it, says "hey this sounds off", then contributes a better version. I've edited other people's posts. We need your ears. And welcome.
