Text menu and Red Rehearsal Marks control

When trying to input text, when pressing the text button, I do not a get a list of available rehearsal texts as the tutorial states .
I am only able to manually input text below the bars ! Also this appears only in red text.
I have an important gig coming up and need to write text instructions.
My ipad Air is running Onsong 2020 and iOS 12.5.7

In the editor select the “abc” (text) button.
Then select the “hamburger“ icon (3 horizontal lines) to the left of the chord/text entry field. That should bring up the text menu.

Red….
Press the Aa button at the top of any chart.
Un-select “Highlight Rehearsal symbols”
