Text question

How best to deal with text too long fit under one measure? For example:

D.S. for solo, then 2nd ending

or even:

D.S. al 2nd ending

Thanks in advance for any help.

I would have a fist ending with the text "open for solos"
and a second ending with the text "on cue end solo"
Or something like that.

I might add graphics for open and on cue at some point.

Probably not in your case specifically but in similar instances, I have put just the D.S., then at the Coda in the text line, put 'last time only' or whatever you need there.
And for the words "2nd time" I have used just "2x" if there is limited space.
