I work with master lists and lists that are derived from that.
it works great for a band repertoire and slightly specific lists for different line-ups, but with the same chords.
I make a setlist for every line up with songs from the master list. Whenever I change a chord in the 'parent'-list, all songs in the derived 'child' lists change accordingly. AWESOME!
I make a point of including a code for the band name in the title to distinguish them from the other songs in the library.
Here comes the issue. When a bandmember changes something in an existing sheet from the master and I import that updated song into my master list, a copy is made and it is treated as a new song in the master list. And therefore it is not linked to the songtitle in the 'child'-lists.
here comes the request. I would love to have a "match and replace" option. ("you already have a version of this song, do you want to add this as a copy or replace te existing song"-kind of thing)
So I can add a new song to the master list which replaces the old one and thus maintains the links to the 'children'-lists.
thanks!
