Pick up the pieces - (AWB)

Hi I am looking for an "authoritative" chart for "Pick up the pieces". Listened to several performers, everybody plays a different structure. Thanks

Hi,

I don't know what you mean with "authoritative", but it is true that several versions of Pick Up The Pieces" exist.
The original is probably from the Average White Band. It is the version I have listened to when I made this chart.

Thank you MontunoResonante, your chart is of great help. I was looking for some source of what changes people use for improvisation. I think I would use Bb7 * 8 + Fm7 * ad infinitum.

Pick Up The Pieces Saxophone Solo Chart

This is the saxophone solo section of Pick Up The Pieces by the Average White Band.

Pick Up The Pieces (Candy Dulfer Live vers.)

Pick Up The Pieces Dulfer Live - Average White Band

Hey y’all, long time beneficiary, first time poster.
This is a very close-to-what-Candy did chart that has tailoring’s for my band.
The chords in the B section are probably “misspelled”, but they’re darn close enharmonically; please respond with corrections ( sans snark, tuvm)

The A sections and B sections are melody, the C section is Solos

The bar that says “single notes” should be single eighths holding the last til end of bar.

I haven’t even tried to play it, our purpose is visual reference ….

Question: what are the little diamonds and the upside down ties for? How do I get rid of em?
