Right now I'm working on building the changes to "Minor League" by Duke Pearson, which has slightly tricky changes as there's a 5 bar break in between the end of the first repeat and beginning of the second repeat. I need to add 5 bars of rest at the very beginning of the changes but I can't figure out a way to do that. I've searched the support page but don't see an obvious answer.

Is there a way to do this?

Sorry, I didn't explain it properly. There are 5 bars before the solo starts, so the very beginning, before the first Gm chord there should be 5 bars of rest. No I understand just to use "N.C."

Is there a way to insert chords at the beginning of a completed chart without having to essentially erase the ones you want to replace or do I need to start all over again?

Two ways:
One space at a time, or select/highlight some bars (say the first line) then choose "insert space".
