Melody?

Hi there,

this is my first post, hopefully in the right forum.

How i would like to pratice as a pianist:

Can the accompagniment be configured freely, say,
i want to pratice jazz standards for perfomances with
a singer. Therefore i want the melody only (maybe plus drums)
as a playalong track, while i provide the harmonies.

Is that possible ?

EDIT

okay i just discovered that there are no melodies in the songs,
so the whole thing only makes sense for soloists, not comping
pianists and guitarists resp.

thanks in advance

Jürgen

....I have found that with using finale, laying out the bars and putting the cords in is pretty time-consuming. If the iReal format with chords could be imported into finale or Sibelius etc. I think that could be a real timesaver in creating lead sheets.

iReal Pro exports musicXML which is used for exporting the chords.
(You can run a search on music XML in Help).

Screen Shot 2018-12-10 at 3.10.12 PM.jpgSeems to work well . this the demo version of Finale 26
Probably there is a way to get circle slash for min7b5

I se e issues with copyright...what about adding capabilities to show image while playing a song? At least users could visualize a personal image, accidentally with melody 🤗

Scores with individual notes

A good day.
Translation done through Google Translator.
I am a clarinet biginner.
I have loaded the program and I am very satisfied.
However, I need to ask for information.
The program allows you to download the chord files but there are non scores with individual notes. And if I need to download the files related to the scores with the musical notes, how can I do? What sites or programs do you recccomend?
If you could also reply to me by email, I would be pleased
Thank you in advance

Melodies

Does anyone know of a similar forum to this where I could pull down melodies or lead sheets ?

I have ditched Finale after 30 years.
MuseScore has a forum/subscription website that has many songs submitted by users (just like here) they are often very accurate. There is not nearly the selection as we have here but songs can be transposed very easily. It all happens from the website. I forget what the subscription costs it’s like $25-$30.
However , Once you learn IRP you will discover that nothing can replace it!!

Song Melodies

It would be great if you had the option to include the song melody over the chords so as to choose to play the chords along to the melody and improvising with such, or whatever else you wanted to do.

I'm fairly new to iReal Pro, and so far am suitably impressed by the brilliant software. However, I'd like to add my voice to those that have suggested a "Pro-plus" version, which would include the lyrics and melodies of the songs. For this, I'd happily pay on a per-song basis, just like the extremely successful "karaoke version".
Although as it is, this programme is fine if you know the melody of a song well, and have memorised the lyrics, it definitely falls short if you haven't.

It would be fab to have the backing-track play along feature, with a traditional fake sheet - chord names (and chord boxes as an option?), melody and lyrics.

Just curious if there are any plans to roll out something like this in the future? Can't help thinking that if iReal Pro don't jump on it, someone else will realise the potential.

I am not aware of any plans to add melody, lyrics or karaoke features to iRp.
On your iPad, you can already multitask and simultaneously display a pdf along with iRp.

Although you would be happy to pay for the copyright, it would take time for us to find all the various copyright holders of all songs here and new ones uploaded daily and set up a system for all the various payments. If not all songs here, then any songs you would want to download would have to be verified and checked for copyright content, payment before (presumably) you can have access to those songs.
We are a small team with limited resources, we put our efforts into development into the future of the app itself, there are many features on our list for consideration. We have to be economical and efficient with our time when considering new features for each update.

Please read on ...

this (old) thread outlines using iReal Pro with your PDF sheets or digital publications or lyrics. You can export the audio files of any song from iReal Pro and attach it to an appropriate (music or lyric) PDF reader app to get what you require or use split screen on tablets.
If you have purchased the PDF publications, you have paid the copyright.

Thank you for your comments, much appreciated. We hope you continue to enjoy iReal Pro.
:)

Do you know if there has been any thoughts about adding a track to the application, that takes a midifile (which e.g. can be a melody created by the user)

I have heard nothing about plans for an available “user-track” included in the app.
