Lyrics

no not really. You can put some text into the text field in song edit, but it is not designed for lyrics.

Has anyone been able to do this successfully?

This is really one feature I would like to see changed. It's a game-changer for those of us who use iRealb in a performance setting. I have always used TABs / chord charts that included lyrics. I would love to convert my current tab collection into iRealb files, but without lyrics, it really limits what I can use iRealb for.

For those citing copyright issues, why can other lyric / tabulature sites include lyrics with their user submissions?

You will find different discussions on lyrics here at the forum.
Here is an early one:

Some ideas:
- multitask and use another app to display the lyrics
- export the songs from iReal b then construct a PDF (or jpg) page in landscape with the chords on one side, lyrics on the other
- for singers who need backing tracks, export the audio and use 'gigbook' or similar app to display your lyrics, attaching the track to the song
- some just have another iPad (unrealbook app can be set to use two iPads in master/slave relationship, where tapping for a page on one, displays a page on the other)

We are aware many of you would like a lyrics feature. We have it on our list for consideration in the future.
