Is there an iReal Pro version for First generation iPad running iOS V. 5.1.1?????

I just purchased a first gen ipad, but I've just learned that the current version of iReal Pro will not run on it.

Unfortunately, there is no way to upgrade the OS to anything higher.

Is there a way that I can get iReal Pro in an earlier version that WILL run on this machine?

Any help would be great. :D

You should be able to purchase it normally from the app store and an older compatible version of iReal Pro will be downloaded.

On a friend's iPad I with iOS 5.1, we tried to install iRealPro over wifi (not from iTunes on a connected laptop). But instead of downloading an older version of the software, the install warned that we needed a newer version of iOS, then exited.

Thanks for any advice....Lyle

I read that thread. Thanks for pointing it out.

We did a full reset of his iPad I, and got the same result.

A little more info:
- tried to purchase iRealPro dated 10/24/14
- got "This Application requires iOS 7.1 or later. You must update to iOS 7.1 in order to download and use this application
- clicking "OK" at that point leaves the App Store and returns you to the home screen
- some iPad info: model=MB292LL o.s.=5.1.1 memory=12.5GBavailable

I realize you're at the mercy of iTunes, but it sounds like something has changed there, as the earlier post said forum members were successful at installing the older app version.

Thanks again....Lyle

Dflat, I followed the instructions in the above link. I purchased the app on
my Apple pc, but it did not appear in my ipad app purchases.

Hmm, you purchased the iOS version from within iTunes (and not the Mac version from the App store)?
I would contact Apple (have your receipt details with you) and they can check what they can see from their end. If there is still a problem they should be able to refund. As far as we know, we have configured our end correctly.
Sorry for the problems.

Need Ireal Pro for 5 1 First Generation Ipad

More explanation needed.

To drop files on your iPad from your computer you have to use iTunes.

Or the WiFi-Upload function. But the first one is more stable and safe I think.

We did it from the iPad using the App Store app, over wifi. Not sure if he got charged or not.
