In “Settings,” why is there a “Restore Exercise Songs” button?

I just saved a backup file to Evernote.

Now, I’m trying to understand how I would use that file if something happened to my iPhone.

Here’s my confusion: in the “Utilities” section of “Settings” I see a “Restore Exercise Songs” button. I don’t see a “Restore Songs” button.

If I had to reinstall iReal, would I begin a restore by touching the “Restore Exercise Songs” button—even though most of the iReal files I’ve created are not exercises?

If so, why is that word “Exercise” on the button?

Thanks, CelloBeat

The iRp app is initially supplied with just a list of “exercise charts” included in the library. Additional charts and playlists can be added to the app’s library from the forums or composed using the editor by individual users.

Sometimes users will edit or delete the original iRp content.

The Restore Exercise Songs function will allow users to easily restore the original included iRp content.

Other (user added) content must be saved (by users) in a backup in order to be recovered. Since iRp does not archive user content there is no global Restore (all) songs function in the app. User-archived content can be downloaded by users from where they saved it. (Email, Drive, iCloud etc.)

Thanks for the quick reply, Bob! I now understand the labeling of the Restore Exercise Songs button.

However, I can’t visualize how I’d make use of the backup I saved.

I did try opening the file from Mail, because one piece of documentation I saw said to press and hold the backup file in Mail. It said I would be offered an option to “Copy to iReal Pro.” I don’t see that option when I press and hold.
