Could someone give me a step-by-step on how to put all the charts I have recently posted of songs by The Band into a single playlist or thread where they can be found by iRP users as per Jazz Standards or Chansons Francaises etc.

Cheers!

As you have seen, the forums contain both
Individual song discussion threads
And
Band/artist/composer/genre threads.

The song threads make it easier to search for a specific song title and view, compare and discuss different performed versions of that song often by different artists. Individual song posts can contain more information like album, performed versions, special features or different/guest artist names etc.

Band/artist/composer/genre threads are best for browsing or for finding multiple songs performed by that band regardless of composer. These lists may not be comprehensive. However, they are the easiest way to quickly add content to your library. Playlists can’t include additional context for individual songs.

Remember, most playlists of random songs, setlists, gig-lists, personal repertoire, songs you like, want to learn or practice belong in a single SANDBOX thread for sharing with your friends, bandmates or students.

Having this dual approach becomes confusing when the ‘collection’ thread is used to discuss multiple different versions or offer corrections to songs posted at different times and scattered randomly throughout a lengthy thread like
Beatles songs or Gypsy Jazz.

Here’s the how-to:

Using the charts you have collected in your App’s Library, make a playlist of charts that share the same reason for inclusion.

Open each chart, share, add to playlist, repeat.
After you have added all the charts, you can easily order the charts alphabetically. (button at bottom of list)

Share your playlist in a new thread in the appropriate forum.
Share a playlist
