Hello,

I work on improvisation would like to record my self on the top of iReal backing

I play the bass
I use a Audient ID22 audio interface
My Mac is an iMac running Sierra

When I select record in the menu, i can see that iReal detects my bass (the green stuff moves) but :
- I cannot change the entry level (the cursor is not active)
- There is not way I can select manually the entry channel (my audio interface has several)

Problem : on the recorded files, there is just iReal playing with an added whistle, but not my bass..What do i miss??

In case this is of any importance, I have no problem to record myself using Reaper

Thanks in advance

Luc

Recording problems

No, i am facing this issue two, any help Please ??

Yeah, I use a Focusrite interface to record bass. I just spend $500 for a SSD which took care of the constant lagging of the background track but now the recording of the bass and background track are distorted. I was working with the tech support with the lagging problem and they couldn't help me. Not holding out much hope for help with the new problem. I'll probably have to record the backing track into garage back and then record over it which is a big pain in the ass. Good luck. I let you know if I find a fix.

There are some mac products/protocols which allow you to connect the audio output of one or more apps to the input of other apps. Two of them are soundflower/ and loopback. I don't have any experience with these, but they are designed to do exactly what you want.
