I’m a newbie and seem to be having this problem with DS al Fine/Fine repeats.

1st time through playes ok and repeats from repeat sign.

2nd time through playes ok and repeats from the DS al Fine.

3rd time through it starts repeating from the segno, as it should (3rd repeat should be from the segno to Fine)

My problem seems to start here -
3rd time should be straight through from the segno to Fine.

What actually happens on the 3rd repeat is, it repeats again as far as the DS al Fine, from where it starts a 4th repeat, from the A section to the Fine.

What I’m seeking is,
1st: vox
2nd: solo
Then, DS al Fine: vox

Any help to resolve this would be appreciated.

I added some double bars and changed the Fine to a Coda.
Also completed the info screen

I’m trying to chart much the same but I want a different ending,

i.e. the AABA AABA remains the same, but then I want it to play from the Segno to Fine.

For some reason it’s not happening?

Please clarify the precise form you want.

I understood: In AABA AABA BA CODA
Is that correct?

That would be correct.
It misses out the final BA?
But it actually plays back: AABA AABA CODA.

Or is it me?

This should work

The song’s form is actually AABA, the other stuff is the arrangement.
To play the AABA twice, I set player repeats to: 2.
The final BAC I added as a coda.
Per your text on the chart, to get the player to end A1 and A2 differently,
I added 1st/2nd endings.
I also needed to condense some of the chart to fit iRp’s single-page format.
