Here's a chart for Grey Owl, a Canadian fiddle tune. It contains a "crooked" measure of 2/4, and I'm not sure how to lay it out. I've attached two attempts, but I don't like either. Any suggestions?

Many tunes (especialy old time fiddle tunes) can be difficult to properly attribute to a composer. In that case, they can be labeled (in the composer name field) as Traditional or Trad.

In your chart labeled 1, measure 8 has chord spacing that is not understood by the player.
I like that you displayed the 2/4 bar shorter than the rest of the 4-space bars even though that's not needed for the player.
The shorter bar really helps identifiy to the reader there's a ”hiccup" or "backstep" (ala Clinch Mt.)
Here's that chart edited to work for both the reader and the player and still fit the A section into two systems.

My goals for iRp chart lay-out:
1. make it as easy as possible for the musician to sight-read it (ready, set, go)
2. make it work properly in the player
3. make it look nice (square and even)
4. make it fit on one page
