Entering Rests

Love the interface but can't figure out how to enter RESTS, quarter, half, etc.

So you are using the old web editor?
The Mac version and the IOS versions are much easier to edit.
You just enter no chord N.C.

I was fooling around with spaces and NC
This wouldn't play but maybe somebody can explain why or make it so it plays?
