I have scoured the intergooglewebs for this song and never found a chart for it in any form whatsoever. I would be so grateful if someone can help. I know there are a lot of charts out there for Tom Waits songs, but this one has eluded me.
It's from a film soundtrack (One From The Heart). It has a verse lead-in so the whole title is Once Upon A Town/Empty Pockets. The song is a beautiful jazz ballad that I would love to be able to use but I just don't have the talent to transcribe it. I prefer the original, but Holly Cole also did a great cover in the early 90s and for some reason changed the title to Purple Avenue (one of the first lyrics in the song). I've linked to both versions below. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
