Emailing the entire library

I've been fooling around with plists in iTunes and backing things up and it's all very confusing.

From Mac to ios device the simplest thing seems to be to create a playlist titled everything from the mac with the date>select all songs and drag them into the new playlist.>email to myself.

How do I do this from the iPad?

You can email your whole backup from Settings/Backup or you can make a playlist you need from the iPad, tap on the Playlist tab, then on the Share button at the bottom of the page.

The backup seems to work. The everything file was almost 2Megs in one playlist.
As I recall it doesn't use doubles so it should be considerably smaller.It still took a few tries and was pretty slow getting on the ipodtouch.

With the backup method when you select backup does it import all the songs without playlists or do you need to import each playlist separately?

You can import the whole backup with all the songs or only the playlists you need separately.
