East Of The Sun - Brooks Bowman

The first two chords don’t have the 7 the other two do . Do you see the difference? Minor Major 7 Song - Unknown Composer

Here’s a possibility…
Are you entering chords on a keyboard instead of the dedicated buttons in the editor or the by using the editor’s chord-picker?
When chord qualities are displayed IN BLUE in the editor, I think it means that the chord quality is NOT RECOGNIZED (or preferred) by the player (and only the chord’s root bass note will sound) but, the quality will display as written. It seems there are a few qualities that iRp will play even though they are not written as they are in the chord-picker menu.(“support for some alternate notations”)
By writing and displaying chords consistently in iRp, it’s easier for most of us to read on the fly.

The chord picker drop-down is lengthy. It took 3 screenshots to get it all as I scrolled through.

If the chord -∆ appear in blue in the editor, it's probably because your iReal pro version is too old. Those new chord symbols have been recently added. Try to upgrade to the most recent version

The latest chord-picker only includes the -Δ7. You are correct that the -Δ is supported.

We’ve added new chord qualities and released a beta version.

- New qualities:
min13 , min^11 , min^13 , maj13#11 , maj7b5 , maj7#9 , min7b6 , min9b6 , maj(add4) , min(add4) , 7(add13)

- Added support for alternate notations for some chord qualities:
-^ for -^7
alt for 7alt
7+ for 7#5
9+ for 9#5
^+ or ^#5 for ^7#5
^#11 for ^7#11
^b5 for ^7b5

I’m using ver 2024.2 (15)
So way back to my original point…… You have to put the 7 in or it won’t look right. you’re welcome.

iRealPro version 2023.11.2 and earlier versions require a seven after the triangle on a minor/major 7.

Do later versions not require it?

I can't download a later version as my Mac OS is not high enough.

Cheers,
Jer

My Mac OS is Catalina, version 10.15.7. The latest version of iReal Pro requires OS 11.
I see, it seems to be different for Mac users than Android users.
In that case, the only thing to do is to replace the -∆ with -∆7.
I also would suggest the iReal pro developers to add all the new chords symbols to every versions (no matter how old there are) for compatibility sake.
