Crescent Moon - Petit and Block

[engelbach]

I got this pretty tune from a friend. I don't know of any place to find it on line. The same title is used by other tunes unrelated to this one.

The lead sheet can be found here.

Hi Jer, Mike A from the old All About Jazz forum. We worked together on a sheet for this tune many moons ago, back in 2014. Our version with the full lyrics is here. I recall that you contacted Bill Block for his permission, which he was happy to give. Apparently they had first thought to use a standard in the film but realized the royalties would be prohibitive, so he and George sat down and wrote Crescent Moon. Great song!

Best regards,
Mike
