Had a friend recently pass away and thought about this tune immediately- We were listening to Rickie Lee Jones in high school and I used to cover this tune in my jazz combo in college.

Here’s how I would display your chart.

Company 1 - Rickie Lee jones


The END instruction you have at the start of the coda will prevent it from playing.
Moved to final bar of coda.
It’s better to use a bar-repeat instead of writing out the chord again (except at a “line break”.)
The extra bar-line in B4 looked like an error as it would result in a 17 bar B section.

I've only just started really delving into this. While editing a chart I saw S & N over some chords but not while playing the chart. I tried to search the forums and I'm sure the answer is here but can't find it. I haven't been able to figure out what it actually does to the music. I think...

Thanks. Actually she puts in a fermata or extra few beats in the first verse, I just adjusted so both verses would work similarly.

BTW- I put the “End” at the beginning of the Coda so the time stops and I finish rubato.

A text “rubato al Fine” (or somesuch) at the coda might reduce confusion to an unsuspecting importer.
That’s a slick way to control the player in this situation.
