Thanks, open sharing is actually better for the artist since *everyone* can open youtube on any device to hear the artist and become a fan without encountering a paywall. Since streaming services pay nearly nothing to most artists, the best way for fans to support an artist is to purchase their product(s) directly from the artist’s website AND to introduce the artist’s music, peer to peer, through open sharing so others can easily become fans too.
