Can’t start in any measure any longer? Also, hopping cursor?

I’ve been away a good few years, but I’ve kept my iRP up to date. I used to be able to press and start a tune in any measure. But it no longer will let me do this. It insists on starting at the top of the tune every time. Any Idea what I’m doing wrong?

Also, sometimes when playing back my old tunes, the cursor (i.e., the highlight of the measure being played) begins hopping seemingly randomly all around the chart. What’s with that?

Just tap and hold the measure until it gets yellow with a Play button in it.

Well, I’m gettin’ old, I guess. I couldn’t make it work right the other night, no matter what I did, no matter how many times I tried. Tonight, no problems at all. Just like the old days. Craziness. I dunno.

Loop: where you select/highlite some bars and have them play over and over.

I thought your answer might give us a clue as to what was/wasn't goin' on.
Looping is similar (but a diff'rent stroke) to starting mid-song.

I'm still mystified by your report of a randomly hopping playback position indicator.

No trouble tonight looping. (Dang, I’ve forgotten so much.) But I didn’t specifically try looping the other night when I was having trouble. And I still cannot recreate that night’s craziness. Best to let it go, I think. I don’t have any idea what I did to cause all that.
