I just use an unicode character map app to select and copy whatever music symbols that are available on Android, then copy/paste them in the chart as text comments. However, the characters available and the spacing are different on Android and iOs, so it might not display properly on iOs.

That's very helpful.

The spacing is slightly off — and by the same amount on both my desktop iMac and my iPad — but the time values and where they belong are obvious.

Yes, I'm not surprised. Android and iOS use different spacing. I use Android so it might not be displayed properly on iOS. This is why I've requested to embed custom music symbols in iRealPro so every symbols could be displayed the same way on any OS or devices
