Apply key signature

MOD EDIT: edited and moved from Beatles thread....

Finally, I mentioned I was having a glitch with the editor. Maybe I'm misunderstanding it. I finish editing the song, put a check next to "also transpose chords" and press the "Apply Key Signture" button. I save and export "Song to Forums" and paste it into the forum. When I preview it and test whether the song came out okay (by clicking on the "I Want To Hold Your Hand" link) the check mark (next to "also transpose chords") has disappeared again! Yes I'm using the Mac editor, latest version I believe.

Minor programming typo: The "Apply Key Signture"(sic) button is missing an "a" in "signture."

you select the Key signature (the key the chords are based in) and press the Apply Key Signature button. (Yes thanks the spelling error will be fixed.)
The Key signature must be the key the tune (chords) are in, as when it reaches iReal Book that key is referenced when using the Transpose function.

Tip: when inputting a song in Mac editor, the first thing I do is input all the information in the Info window (Title etc.); and select the key signature and press "Apply key signature."
(e.g. if the chords are based in F, I set the key signature to F.)

The "Also transpose chords" button is there for when you want to transpose the already inputted chords to another key. An example would be a tune in F. You might be inserting the chords from a Bb transposing chart, so you input in G, setting the Key Signature (as described in the above tip) to G. But you want to finalize the key in F before saving, so you go back to the Info window, set the key signature to F and click the "Also transpose chords" which will result in changing all the chords as well and press "Apply key signature." This transposes the chords and key together.
