Does anyone have the sheet music for Jacques Loussier's jazz rendition of Air on a G String by Bach?

Hello there. I note that you say you have the dots for the Loussier arrangement of Air from the suite in D / Air on a G string. I too am trying to get hold of a copy. So would be pleased if you could help me out too. If you can contact me direct then do so (MINUS THE NUMBERS) on: 12mu8sician@3talktalk.net6 . Please note to remove all numbers.

Thanks for this post. Very useful.

I do have one correction: Your diminished chords should be half-diminished chords — assuming the melody is the same as Bach's original.

So Bo, F#o, G#o, and C#o should be Bø, F#ø, G#ø, and C#ø.

BTW, despite its title, the original was actually in the key of D major.

Cheers,
Jer

Thanks for new reccomdations. I corrected mistakes. Changed the key and fixed dim chords. But based on the sheet music,i saw that not all dim chords should be halfdim. Some are really dim.

Bach liked to play with dim - half-dim chords so that they alternated.

Regardless of the sheet music, if you go to the original orchestration you'll see that both F#ø and C#ø play with the diminished and double-diminished intervals in both chords. And the second half of each measure is clearly a half-dim with the dim 7 in the bass.

Here's a piano reduction on line. It's in a different key, but look at the fifth measure. It's a C#ø (F#ø in our key) on the first note: C# E B E. Then on the second note the melody fills in the missing G while the inner voice plays an A#, which makes the chord a C#o, but then the A# immediately resolves up to B natural, which makes it a C#ø again.

So I find it more accurate and convenient to label the whole measure as a ø.

Cheers,
Jer
