Hip hop has always had a strong connection to jazz, with sampling and reinterpretation being a fundamental part of its sound. In recent years, especially with the rise of lo-fi hip hop, jazz played with a hip hop feel has become extremely common.
However, iReal Pro currently lacks styles that reflect this modern direction.
Adding hip hop / lo-fi hip hop styles would make the app much more relevant for musicians working in Nu Jazz, Jazz Hip Hop, and Neo Soul. There is clearly a growing demand for this kind of groove.
I would gladly pay for these styles as an optional add-on, and I believe many others would as well.
