I cant find a 6/8 ballad feel so I went with a 4/4 Ballad I slowed it down and count it as follows:
in 6/8 - 1 2 3 4 5 6 1 2 3 4 5 6
in 4/4 - 1*****2*****3*****4****
Although not perfect, to me this feels better and more open than the existing 12/8 version.
Perhaps someone out there has better understanding of guitar chord extensions I think I have the harmonic depth very stripped down.
