A Little Help for a Self-taught Arranger?

I’m a little lost and could use some help.

I’ve run out of space and wonder if there’s a more elegant way to do this.

Intro (in) repeats two times.

Verse A repeats three times, but the end of the third verse leads to the Bridge (B) with |3.

After the Bridge I want to repeat A two times and then move to the ending (the last line of the arrangement.)

I’d like the ending to repeat three times.

I'm self taught. Appreciate your help.

Ed

Newbie Asking for Arrangement Support

My first post:

I’m a little lost and could use some help. Due to number of bars limitation, I'm out of ideas how to arrange this.

Goal is

Intro
Intro
Verse A
Verse A
Verse A leading to Bridge (marked as |3.)
Bridge B
Verse A
Verse A
Intro
Intro

It's the Intros at the end that throw me off. I'm self-taught and really don't understand about things like Codas or other ending techniques.

I'm sure there is an elegant way to do this. Would appreciate some assistance.

Play On!

Hi Ed,

Does this play the way you want?
(Your initial post wanted the ending repeated three times)
To play the coda just twice, remove the "3x" text instruction.

In, In, A1, A2, A3, B, A1, A2, Coda, Coda, Coda
Or
In AAABAA Coda
(since the In and Coda have repeat brackets you Don’t need to specify them multiple times)

Compare this chart with yours and let me know if you'd like more explanation.

As I understand, the D.S. al Coda with the double bar means to begin a second time at the top? Or maybe at that symbol above the [A]?

And the Code symbol at the end of the second set of verses means to drop to the next Coda symbol. The 3X which can be put in the text instructs to play that section three times (or however time the text instructs.

Please, what is the function of the double bar endings at |3. and at the end of bridge ?

Appreciate your time,
Ed

Coda:

We usually begin and end sections with a double-bar. That visually helps to clarify the song's form. The player also adds a cymbal hit.

I find the Uke and guitar chord fonts kinda small. I prefer to use the larger chord diagrams in the player.
You can tap the diagram to pause play, swipe the diagram for alternate voicings and tap again to resume.
Changing the diagram voicing doesn’t affect the player.
