    Import Chord Symbols from MuseScore

Hi everyone ! I wrote a small plugin to read chords from a MuseScore leadsheet and then create a new song in iRealPro. https://musescore.org/en/project/irealpro I use it quite a bit. Sorry it's MacOS only. Norman

Is it possible to write a melody line on top of an existing chart?

That's mostly the reason why I wrote Rousseau. I like numbers and roman numerals so much.

MIDI file transfer iPad to PC no longer avaiable

I don't use iTunes. I remember having tried out: iExplorer (I don't know if it even still works), the free GoodReader USB file transfer program (latest update), and a program named PhoneView. If you have some time you can check them out. I like DiskAid because of WiFi capability (which you...

MIDI file transfer iPad to PC no longer avaiable

I don't happen know of a good free file transfer app. But I do use DiskAid (USB/wireless) for what you describe. I figure $30 wasn't much compared to the money spent for great sounding instrument libraries to play midi accompaniment files through (in stereo). iReal Pro midi export really opens...

John Mehegan’s Jazz web app and iRp

People who know John Mehegan’s Jazz Improvisation Series and can use this Web app in conjunction with iReal Pro. It’s a great system and I’m a huge fan! The link on the left shows Mehegan notation for whatever code is in the text box (it has to be valid code copied directly from the iReal Pro...

Anyone MIDIing a sound module in the background while running iRealb?

bs-16i is my favorite (I also have the other apps mentioned), small footprint, works with Soundfonts. It responds to volume and program changes and can also be used as a MIDI player.

    irealb versus irealbook data format

Me too! Besides reading older posts one of my keyboards uses a Mac that can only run iReal b v2.05. An advantage with the new format is that it contains additional information: tempo, transposition etc.

Light My Fire - The Doors

You're right, it's in D (actually A dorian / D ionian)! I guess I was thinking A aeolian when I started jotting down the melody. (Key C simply means no sharps or flats to me.) Check out this post for other examples of numbered melody notation in iReal b...
