Hi Gary
You may share sheet music transcriptions of your own composed works here.
You may also share a LINK to sheet music hosted elsewhere.
Posting potentially copyrighted material here is not allowed.

Thanks for sharing iRp charts

Bob,
I totally understand your point. After an exhaustive search for a site hosting this song with no success, I felt like I still wanted to create a backing track for it for myself. If my mistake was simply providing a transcription of the melody, I am truly sorry. But I wonder how that is different from you telling me the last time that I cannot post my own original tune (copyrighted as well) without a melody sheet as it was "just a bunch of random chords without any context." Can you please explain?

Actually, that’s not what I wrote…
Here’s my wording

Your original songs are welcome, but without context, they’re just random chords.
When sharing songs of your own composition, if you could include a link to either an audio file or YouTube, your original chord chart would have some context for others.

It was a suggestion that your original chord chart would be more useful to our community with some added context.
Many of our members are “ear-players” hence the suggestion of audio context.
For your original music for which you choose not to share a recording, your notation will certainly be helpful to some.

Posting the actual copyright protected material of others here is against the rules.
Links to the material hosted elsewhere are ok.

Thanks for sharing

Actually, I did not choose not to post a recording. I tried to add an mp3 recording and it said that it could not be uploaded in that format. That is the only recording that I have. Is there another format that I should try to convert it to?

What works best is to share a link to audio hosted elsewhere.
(YouTube, band camp, SoundCloud etc.)

I have now corrected the post by removing the copyrighted material and included an audio link. Is it ok now?
While it’s certainly ok to share a YouTube especially if that is the source track for your iRp transcription it’s generally not necessary unless the song is rare or mostly unheard. We all have internet and, in fact the iRp app has a built-in music track search feature.

Providing a YouTube is expected when you are asking for a chart.
