What are "appossitures"? (Appoggiature)

I found a very helpful riff tutorial clip on youtube by Charles Crawford. He refers to some short 5 note riffs that he calls "appositures" (or perhaps it is appositures). Does anybody know where or how I could find out more clearly what they are?

could the word be:
Appoggiatura
run a google search on that word and see if it makes sense with what he is saying:)
I presume you could contact him directly.

Many thanks! " Appoggiature " was indeed the word I heard Charles Crawford say! Once I was able to spell it I was able to find helpful info on google and youtube. It is now clear to me that an appoggiature in the context of jazz improvisation is one, two or even three grace notes. Appoggiatura are forms of nonharmonic tone derived by leap and resolved by step, usually in the opposite direction.
