Pent Up House - Sonny Rollins

Greg,

It's a nice chart.

If you don't mind a couple of suggestions ...

You don't need the 7 at the end of ∆ chords, as the 7 is understood. Leaving off the 7 makes a less cluttered chart.

I see that you're trying to get the syncopation by writing chords after the first beat of the measure. Unfortunately, that doesn't work for playback, as the whole measure plays the chord. Many of us wish that iReal pro could be divided into eight eighths instead just odd eighths.

I prefer, as an alternative to writing the number of repeats under the last solo measure, to label the head the Intro and the solos the A section, and use the Repeats function at the bottom of the window. That way I can keep track of the number choruses played by the indicator at the upper right.

Cheers,
Jer

Currently, iRp can be instructed to play a chord only on quarter note beats within a measure.
(Some force off-beat play by changing time-sig's which makes for a messy and hard to read chart)

This example chart shows how to delay a chord in a bar by using a slash:

Bar Repeat Signs, Slash, N-C- - Example - Example

When I use the small (S) font in a crowded measure, I don’t add the "7" to Δ7 chords.
I'll admit to habitually using the (unnecessary) "7" in normal (N) font, stand-alone Δ7 chords.

More discussion of Jer's cool method for quickly setting the number of solo repeats here:

raymb1,

That's an excellent format for this chart.

There were two oversights that I corrected. There was an unnecessary repeat sign at the beginning of the A section, and the bar line and coda sign were missing at the end of the solos.
