These titles are included in the Jazz1300 playlist.

Because of slight differences in the charts, downloading this playlist may result in many nearly identical duplicate charts in your library.

Hey all, I just found a site called Jazz24(dot)org that did a user survey and these were the top 100 vote-getters. Well... 79 of them. 21 of the ones on their 100 list were nowhere to be found on the big lists here! I didn't do exhaustive searches through all posts for the missing ones, though, so I suppose it's possible they're in here somewhere, from individual contributors. But thought this might be an interesting playlist to view.

I don't have time right now to go back through and list the missing ones, but I'll do that soon... Perhaps some (like "Birdland," not to be confused w/ "Lullaby of Birdland") aren't all that practical in the iRealB format, since they're so much more melody-dependent than chordal...

Thanks for the guidance, I'm pretty new to the group. I thought the sandbox was more for original tunes. Also, I think the missing 21 tunes from this list will be valuable to the group as a challenge to add them to the library.

You are welcome to post the titles of songs that aren't in the forums yet.
Perhaps participating members will post iRp charts for them.

OK, going back through the jazz24.org list of their top 100, these tunes listed below are the ones that I didn't find an iRealB chart for. From what I can tell, their list is based more on specific recordings than on the charts themselves (or the original composer(s) ), but I was still surprised to see so many of these absent from the iRealB books. And of course I recognize this is an arbitrary list, just like suffering through the inane inclusions and enraging exclusions of, say, a Spin Magazine list of essential pop recordings or whatnot. But I personally have been enjoying the collection they've made on their site, and found it worth exploring.
If these ARE in the forums somewhere, and are perhaps buried in a singular post, or titled differently, please reply and let me know!

A Love Supreme, Part 1: Acknowledgement -- John Coltrane
Birdland -- Weather Report
Sing, Sing, Sing (with a Swing) -- Benny Goodman
Strange Fruit -- Billy Holiday
Blue Rondo A La Turk -- Dave Brubeck Quintet (duh... would make for a pretty useless iRealB chart)
West End Blues -- Louis Armstrong
Flamenco Sketches -- Miles Davis
Blue Train -- John Coltrane
Moanin' -- Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers
In The Mood -- Glenn Miller Orchestra (??? How is this not in here somewhere? Titled differently, perhaps?)
Cast Your Fate to the Wind -- Vince Guaraldi
Rhapsody in Blue -- George Gershwin (another duh)
Compared to What? -- Les McCann
Bitches Brew -- Miles Davis
Twisted -- Lambert Hendricks & Ross
Linus & Lucy -- Vince Guaraldi
One O'Clock Jump -- Count Basie
Potato Head Blues -- Louis Armstrong
Bumpin' on Sunset -- Wes Montgomery
Feeling Good -- Nina Simone
Moody's Mood for Love -- James Moody
Diminuendo in Blue and Crescendo in Blue -- Count Basie and his Orchestra
Water Boy -- Don Shirley Trio

And I am not EVEN gonna deal w/ anyone working the math out on this, cuz yes, I counted 23... and yet my playlist has 79 on it... which makes 102, when it's called the Top 100. I can't see where I and/or they went wrong, and I'm too much A, B and C and not enough D, E, and F to care right now ;-)

Have you tried the search function:
Magnifying glass icon at the top-right of this page?
A number of the tunes have been posted.
