IrealPro hook up with digital piano

Apologies if this has been raised before, but im thinking of getting a yamaha p225 digital piano - is it possible to hook up ireal pro (either via tablet or mac) to the piano and merge audios on headphones?

My (old school) approach might be an inexpensive mixer and cable audio-out from instrument(s) and iRp device into it. From there, headphone-out or amp/PA.
with enough channels you could add mic(s) and a recorder…
