But…
The correct song title is Blue Spirit Blues
(No matter what Trombone Shorty calls it…)

“mean blue spirits” is a line in the lyrics, not the title.

It was composed by Spencer Williams who also is credited with Basin Street Blues and many other classic tunes from that era.
