amplify tracks?

New user (rookie questions): can Android be connected to a PA and
use these tracks at a gig? I heard it does not 'loop' -does this mean
the tracks will not repeat?

I don't know Android, but I have no reason to believe it functions differently than the iOS app (but look for things if you don't see what I'm talking about...).
Yes, you can hook it up to a PA - why shouldn't you be able to? Just buy the right connectors, the sounds are good.
"looping" is a specific function, not for gigs. What you want is to repeat CHORUSES of songs, and that setting is right on the player screen (number between repeats).
Hope this helps...

amplify

thanks. It plugs and plays fine. I wasn't sure since I never ran an audio cable from my phone before. My simple PC speakers amplify it sufficiently for home use. For gigs I would probably need a jack adapter. Now that we have all these fine chords, where can we find the lead sheets with melody? thanks

This thread might be useful:

(run a search, there are probably others.)

Silence the ring tones, 3G, message, email etc. if playing live :)

Consider using a bluetooth reciever instead of an audio cable to connect your IRp device to your audio system.

http://www.wikifonia.org/
has some lead sheets.
Also there are the published real books and their PDF equivalents (Sher Music, Hal Leonard for instance) although their changes (chords) may not be exactly the same as the ones here at the forum.

on-gig use

Well I'm making some progress on gearing up for a solo
act with IrealB back up.
-Getting my playlists developed.
-Yes the phone audio cable is doing its job with an adapter
connecting to the amp. I would say that the sound is
certainly adequate for accompaniment -in fact it's
quite lively and supportive -nice Job app-creators!
-You are correct: silence any in-phone sound output.
On my phone, an audio cable automatically activates
the MP3 play, so I just deleted those files: They were
playing over the IrealB. I only had a couple files.
Not sure how you can disable them if you want
to keep them saved.
-If you need to stop a tune suddenly, I noticed that the
stop button has some noise static, but you can tap
Play for a quieter Stop.
-A tablet would certainly be easier to read than my
phone! I was planning to try Amazon Fire. Ofcourse,
we have to make internet arrangements if there is
no wifi on the gig location.

Any 'on the job' tips and tricks would be appreciated....
Could make a good thread
thanks,

Doubling on Key of C, Bb

I'm playing sax and flute playlists. When I go to Sax I set for Global Bb. I have to select the Transpose key a Step Below so that I can read the chords for Sax (and the notes will sound in the Piano key.) Wondering if the app could be set to automatically play the supporting Piano key when I simply select Transpose into the Sax key I want to read. It would
simplify the process when a player is doubling.

I'm playing sax and flute playlists....

When you change instruments, touch Menu button>Settings ... and set Global transposition to that instrument. The chords will transpose, but the Player (assuming you are using it) will stay in concert key. This also means if the song is to be played in a different concert key, you set the concert key in Menu>Transpose. Your chart will appear transposed according to the instrument you selected in Global transposition.

excellent gig material

Nice work on these tracks, IrealB!
Well received by a restaurant audience, applause in fact.
Plus, one table got up and danced on Have Yourself a
Merry Christmas....
My compliments to the creators...
now if I may, would it be possible to have a tone
change on the piano, such as vibes? Would add
a lot of variety to performance...
what do you think?

Thanks for the feedback, Glad you like how it sounds. In the future we are considering other sounds. If you notice, there is some guitar in the latin and pop packs.
