Can’t start in any measure any longer? Also, hopping cursor?

No trouble tonight looping. (Dang, I’ve forgotten so much.) But I didn’t specifically try looping the other night when I was having trouble. And I still cannot recreate that night’s craziness. Best to let it go, I think. I don’t have any idea what I did to cause all that.

Can’t start in any measure any longer? Also, hopping cursor?

Hi, Bob! Hi, Niki! Well, I’m gettin’ old, I guess. I couldn’t make it work right the other night, no matter what I did, no matter how many times I tried. Tonight, no problems at all. Just like the old days. Craziness. I dunno. Bob, you ask if I can “loop?” ?? Wattchu talkin’ ‘bout, Willis? 🤔

Can’t start in any measure any longer? Also, hopping cursor?

Can’t start in any measure any longer? Also, hopping cursor? I’ve been away a good few years, but I’ve kept my iRP up to date. I used to be able to press and start a tune in any measure. But it no longer will let me do this. It insists on starting at the top of the tune every time. Any Idea...

How to End a Song on Beat 1 with New Chord?

Change to 2/4 time before the current last measure, then add one more measure and put END on the first beat of that newly added measure. Example: Vivo Sonhando (Dreamer) 2 - Antonio-Carlos Jobim

My Foolish Heart - Victor Young-Ned Washington

Yeah, you're right, Jer. I think I just like the 2nd bars of the last lines of the two C sections, with their different sets of four changes each. The first "REV" version of this you posted a couple years back used two changes there, but your new one here has four. I like the sound of that with...

My Foolish Heart - Victor Young-Ned Washington

Of course, My Foolish Heart has been posted before, but this version I found is considerably different, still in Bb. If THIS version has already been posted, I missed it and I apologize. EDIT: Fixed an error in originally posted chart. My Foolish Heart (HLv141) - Victor Young - Ned Washington

    I've been away for a while ...

The system offers a "forgot password" feature, but you have to match numbers and letters on one of those what-are-they-called -- security screens? human-only screens? I thought I was matching the screen exactly -- uppercase, lowercase -- but it always says I'm not. After several dozen tries, I...

Fooling Myself (I'm Just) - Jack Lawrence-Peter Tinturin

Jer, I originally posted under "nimbleswitch," but usually signed postings "Jack." Been away from the board quite a while, and my old password didn't work anymore, so I reregistered as "nimbleswitch2." I be glad to go back to the original account if I can figure out how to. Still will have time...

    I've been away for a while ...

Actually, I was looking for the Ed Fuqua book (and a few others) I transcribed for iRP. But thanks for finding these. I see now that the postings are now reversed, back to front, since I've been away. My old account wouldn't let me log in, password doesn't work, so I opened a new one. If you...

    I've been away for a while ...

.... maybe things have changed. When I search for something I posted a few years ago, the Search feature tells me it's in Jazz Practise Exercises on Page 26, but it's not reslly there. Am I missing something new? Jack (now nimbleswitch2)

Fooling Myself (I'm Just) - Jack Lawrence-Peter Tinturin

This is funny, Jer! This is MY chart that Saxandhoney posted here. I posted it years ago. It's a page from my transcription of Ed's book for iRP. I posted the whole book under Jazz Practice. My titlings, even, lifted word for word, including the introductory note. I guess Saxandhoney liked it. I...
