You Belong To Me - Price-King-Stewart

The latest version of iRP does ignore the fermata completely. But in older versions (which I still have on my 4thGen iPod Touch) you must place the End command on the following beat for it to work.

You Belong To Me - Price-King-Stewart

Hmm, well I guess you have your reasons to shun the global repeats function. But to answer your question, I'd suggest using a Coda since the other way could be confusing. The files I post to the forum are usually plain vanilla and don't include my personal intros and outros, but here's my full...

You Belong To Me - Price-King-Stewart

You Belong To Me (G) - Price-King-Stewart My ballad version with a few extra changes for fluidity. (For a truer 1950s feel, change the style to Pop 12/8.)

Move the style bar out of the way

I wouldn't mind having the style bar somewhere less prominent. I also touch it by accident once or twice on a gig - I press play for every song, but it's very rare that I want to change the style during a performance.

iReal Pro and compatible Android devices

Also, you may be sharing your device with someone else - maybe two horn players reading off the same screen or, as often in my case, the bass player might be looking over the pianist's shoulder. My first Android tablet had a 10.1-inch display, which was plenty big enough to see. But move a...

    Chords on upbeats and anticipations

I'm still running iOS 6.1 on my old iPod, so I don't know which symbols currently work. Even so, I use them very infrequently and just as personal reminders - iRP was never designed to be a detailed scoring program.

    Chords on upbeats and anticipations

    I've posted these before but here are some text characters I find occasion to use, including some curved lines: ♩ ♪ ♫ ♬ ♭ ♮ ♯ △ ▵ › ≻ > ● • ‿ ⁀ ⁔ ┏ 3 ┓ ┗ 3 ┛ ⌈ 3 ⌉ ⌊ 3 ⌋

The Way You Look Tonight - Jerome Kern

If you're posting charts for your own personal use, or to share with your other band members, please use the "Sandbox" section. If you're posting for everyone to use, yes, please make them playable (and include the composer's name). It really doesn't take that much extra effort. Thanks.

Playback doesn't start on selected measure after update

Well I guess I haven't generated much new work since the last update. Just checked again and the bug IS in the edit mode - never starts playing on the measure you click. [iRB Version 6.1 (8200); iMac OSX 10.7.5] Since you can't close the Editor until you save, this does indeed make previewing...

Playback doesn't start on selected measure after update

Does this occur always, and from any measure? I know that often, when I click on the first bar of a Coda section, the player will start from the preceding bar. Once I did notice it started several measures before that, but this hasn't happened again. (Note: When posting a tech question, it's...

iReal Pro and compatible Android devices

The specific tablet I'm talking about here is the Nextbook Ares 11 (11.6-in. IPS screen, 1GB RAM/64GB storage, Android 5.0 Lollipop, Intel Atom z3735g Quad-Core 1.8GHz processor). Its $200 price tag makes it very appealing, but a YouTube review warned of the Intel processor, as well as stability...

iReal Pro and compatible Android devices

The ability to shop online is a blessing (variety, convenience, competitive prices) and a curse (can't take things for a test drive). But you've answered my question and I will proceed with caution. If I do gamble on an Intel-driven tablet, without the benefit of holding a "test device" in my...

iReal Pro and compatible Android devices

Thanks Niki. But my main concern is the Intel processor. One of this tablet's reviews stated Intel is "notorious" for not working with some popular apps. Just worried it might affect iRP, since you specifically identified the Armv7 processor in a previous post. Sorry I'm not tech-savvy enough to...

iReal Pro and compatible Android devices

Hope this is not a dead thread. I'm looking at a tablet that runs Android OS 5.0 Lollipop with Intel Atom z3735g Quad-Core 1.8GHz processor. Will the latest iRP work on Intel, or only ARM?

    Feature requests

For many (many) years I used an Ensoniq EPS sequencer for backing tracks. Just as you describe, it could loop the song until I decided to manually advance to the coda. This was, and still is actually, the hardest thing about adapting performances to iRP. Yes, it does take some pre-planning to...

Found a way to Playback bass notes only ...

Ah, I thought by "bass notes only" you meant "no drums"... oh well. ;) By the way, this trick of yours will work just as well if you type a period instead of W, and won't be as "unsightly".

On OSX, type % for the single-bar repeat symbol, lower case x for double-bar repeat symbol. Or, you can mouse-click on the desired symbol in the Editor box.
