Song titles starting with "The" or "A".

This feature has been requested several times over the years. iTunes leaves articles [a, an, the] at the beginning but ignores them for alphabetization. Not sure why this seems to be so difficult to implement for iRP. On my personal charts, I leave off articles entirely: Lady Is A Tramp. (The...

    A "favorite" option for songs

Already easy to do: Create a "Favorites" or "Important" playlist to hold particular songs. Within that playlist you could experiment with different keys, tempos and styles for practice, without those changes altering the original file.

    More text options

In that case, it would be nice if I could move the text lower using the arrow. On the versions I use, I can only move the text up.

Why is tempo linked to selection of styles?

I also find the automatic tempo change a nuissance. I would prefer being able to Set the Tempo (just as we do with the Key Signature). As for indicating the tempo with text on the chart, I was able to type a "♩= xxx " notation previously, but newer versions have disallowed many of the symbols I...

    TV Themes

Park Avenue Beat (Theme from Perry Mason) by Fred Steiner Park Avenue Beat (C-) - Fred Steiner I thought I had posted this already, but a Forum search produced no results. Arrangement is largely based on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paAIbMKb7eY

Dream Along With Me (Perry Como theme song)

Dream Along With Me - Carl Sigman Note: I fudged a few changes that sounded a bit "christmas-y" on his original recording.

Hot Fun In The Summertime - Sly & The Family Stone

Hot Fun In The Summertime - Sly Stone I added a Coda for jamming or audience sing-along, and an ending in place of the fade-out.

New style request: Swing 8th note feel pop/soul

I like your version too! Yes, each work-around has its drawbacks. I never meant to imply iRB couldn't benefit from more styles - I've requested a few myself. ;) But it's kinda fun to try and fool the machine. Thanks for sharing.

New style request: Swing 8th note feel pop/soul

I learned a new word! :) 40 isn't the "real world" bpm, just a way to fool the Player. Here's the result: https://forums.irealpro.com/threads/Aretha-Franklin-songs&p=38698.6865/#post-38698

New style request: Swing 8th note feel pop/soul

Yes, I know. That's why you'll need to crank the tempo all the way down. Here's another example: https://forums.irealpro.com/threads/If-You-Don-t-Know-Me-By-Now-Gamble-Huff.8293/ The tempo really needs to be even slower but, unfortunately, 40 is the lowest that it can be set. I know it's not...

    Search box for playlists

The iOS version (at least the older version on my iPod) also has a vertical column on the right with "# A B C..." etc. when in "Song" or "Composer" mode. It would be very helpful to include this feature within the Playlists too - much much faster than pulling up a search box and typing. I would...

New style request: Swing 8th note feel pop/soul

Try "Pop - Rock 12/8" and reduce the Tempo all the way down into the 40s. This won't suit every song of this style, but might be an acceptable work-around for the two you mention.

Modesty Blues - John Dankworth (Cal Tjader)

The composer is John Dankworth. While Cal Tjader, for some unfathomable reason, did record a Latin version of it, the song was originally written for the soundtrack of Modesty Blaise, a ridiculous 60's spy parody. How to set number of player-repeats for solo sections

It might be worth reconsidering the traditional concept of "a page". The iRB Player already has the ability to scroll longer charts, yes? Allowing an unlimited number of lines would eliminate the need for multiple pages, or short bars to squeeze tunes into one page, which makes the chart harder...

Popsicles And Icicles - David Gates [The Murmaids]

Popsicles And Icicles [The Murmaids] - David Gates For some inexplicable reason, this song got stuck in my brain. ARRRGH!! I made this chart in an attempt to dislodge it. The original arrangement AAB with no solos. Suggestion: set mixer to "Organ"
