An unfortunate side-effect of this policy is that it also becomes tedious to *import* new songs from other sources into iRealPro.

I cut/paste songs between the web editor (Linux PC) and iRealPro (Android) frequently and despite the warning it hasn't failed me yet. Oh, and I know how to read and write iRealPro (irealb://) data so I value my computer skills sufficient.

I wonder what would be the advantage. You have to put the device in portrait position anyway, so auto-rotate will do the job.

Nice to have. Almost a must-have. In general, it would be very helpful if playlists could be organised hierachically. I have a lot of playlists (song collections), for several different occasions and for several groups. Having all of these in one long list makes it often hard to navigate.

I do so on a regular basis, and only in very exceptional situations the app encounters problems to import the song. Can you send me a (private) email with a song that iRealPro refuses to import?

You can use rehearsal marks. Label the intro as "Intro" and label the ending "Coda". Do not forget to label the part following the intro with something, e.g. "A". Do not use "Verse". Now the intro will play once, then the A-part repeatedly, and finally the ending (Coda).

I occasionally use the web editor. It still works and often better (easier, user friendly) than touch editing.

I think iRealPro introduced the irealb:// data obfuscation mainly to discourage users from manually crafting and changing data as this may easily lead to import and other problems. For example, with the plain text irealbook:// data, nothing will stop you from changing a time signature into...

Au contraire. It would attract BiaB users to migrate to iReal, which sounds okay to me. For me it would make it possible to abandon BiaB after migrating my songs.

Even then, it would be a big help to know what these plain-text files should contain. I have many songs in other music programs that I'd like to import into iReal-B.
