Yakety Sax (Benny Hill Thème) - James Q. "Spider" Rich-Boots Randolph

Boots did it in G which I think is easier . Maybe cause I learned it in that key ;) Most string bands prefer G Thanks for posting

The Great Gig Book (Blue Book)

Not sure this is the right place to post but I got this from the GGB. The changes are quite different from the Hal Leonard Realbook 2 Warm Valley GGB - Duke Ellington

New York New York - John Kander

Not sure how old the chart is but I remember well the times before the play-along feature when I used it just for live band charts . When the play-along feature was added I sort of scoffed at it as a gimmick. Probably didn't even bother to try it for a year or so. I only started using it...

New York New York - John Kander

Yes great chart just to clarify though the missing line does not affect the reading. The chart is laid out correctly to read just like Sinatra‘s...

    iPad internal volume disabled?

iPad internal volume disabled? I had this problem several times before I have to turn off the iPad and reset it to be able to control the volume with the slide up controls. Not sure the exact name for that but it’s when you slide your finger up and get the controls for volume ,brightness etc...

    The Beatles

So I guess the list on page 1 does not get updated as I see the songs on this page are not on it? I searched "Black" the thread and found nothing so I guess nobody has done Baby's in Black?

East Of The Sun - Brooks Bowman

East of the sun real book 3 changes Exact duplicate of the real book page 104 except two chords were changed to nine chords since the melody was the nine and some piano players play Flat 9 going to minor chord . East Of The Sun RB3 - Brooks Bowman

You should replace songs in Main playlists with my edits

Bob it’s not in opinion. I’m not talking about opinions. I’m talking about the chords in specific published books. For instance the incorrect versions of the days of wine and roses with a B-flat minor seven should be purged and corrected . That is a huge mistake and I’m sure it has caused...

You should replace songs in Main playlists with my edits

hey bob We all make mistakes. I have posted songs that I realize later weren’t 100%. It sure would be nice if there was a way to remove mistakes. Obvious mistakes. Like somebody posts something as a real book chart and it has mistakes. It should be corrected and replaced. I noticed in the days...

You should replace songs in Main playlists with my edits

I understand where you’re coming from. What you need to do is give the source of your information. There are basically three different types ; 1) chords that you have transcribed from a recording. Common practice hear seems to be to put the initials of the artist next to the title. You can...

Can we start a sticky thread for the real books?

There are lots of folks doing Hal Leonard RB exact changes . It would be nice if there was place where people could post them so they could eventually be made into a list. The lists that are out now are not confirmed RB chords.

    Jazz Practice Exercises

Hey there just so you know bar 10 is usually an A-7b5 to a D7b9 which makes sense since it leads to a G- . I think the A-7 D7 to the Gmaj7 would make more sense if you were going to take out a minor ii V7. Btw the real book uses all A-7b5 D7b9's except bar 28 How High The Moon RB 1 - Morgan Lewis

How High The Moon - Morgan Lewis

RealBook 1 version. The RB has the same turnaround in the first. I think the 1300 list may have a 3621 which I like but it's not the RB . I put the 3625 in the alt chords. I'm not sure if there is a RealBook 1 list anywhere so I'm not sure if this is redundant. How High The Moon RB 1 - Morgan Lewis

    Ska songs

Shout and Flat Tire in the new blues styles have nice up-beat grooves. but still not Ska . Too bad they didn't include it. It's almost Gypsy Jazz with up-beats. Wouldn't think it would be as hard to program as some of the other beats. Does anybody know if a Ska style is in the works?
