how to get my arrangement back?

You can find it here: https://forums.irealpro.com/threads/Fotografia-Tom-Jobim.5988/. At the upper right of the screen is a magnifying glass icon. Press it to open a search page which can be used to search for any previously-posted chord chart. That's how I found "Fotographia" for you.

    Share a wav file????

On my iPad using iRP 7.0: create the audio file by hitting the Share icon (square with arrow), then "Share Audio" and the type of file. The recording will then be rendered. When it is complete, press "Save to Disk." When you do, you will be given instructions on how to access the file using...

Swing Two/Four style optimized for ballads

The two styles that I use most are Ballad Swing and Swing Two/Four. Each style has a default tempo, 60 bpm for Ballad Swing and 180 bpm for Swing Two/Four. Be that as it may, I frequently use the Ballad style for tunes played at 80–110 bpm (or even faster); the Ballad style works very well at...

    A Very Precious Love - Sammy Fain-P F Webster 1958

Thanks for the complement. I try to give some background for charts I write because many of the charts I post are for tunes that may be unfamiliar to iRP users. I also want to promote discussions among musicians about how to approach musical problems or issues. That's a way we can learn from...

    A Very Precious Love - Sammy Fain-P F Webster 1958

"A Very Precious Love" is another in a series of songs written for films in the 1950s by the duo of composer Sammy Fain and lyricist Paul Francis Webster (for more, see https://forums.irealpro.com/threads/A-Certain-Smile-Sammy-Fain-Paul-Francis-Webster.14648/). This beautiful song was written...

    ritard feature requested

I agree; the ability to do a retardando would be great for the ending of tunes. The issues would be: the rate that the tempo slows down; the final tempo; does it only work at the end of a tune. Stuff like that. I think that its implementation is more complicated than one might think at first...

iReal Pro 7.0 with iOS 9.2.1: Are they compatible?

I did the upgrade to iOS 9.2.1 and can confirm that, after several hours of use, it is compatible with iRP 7.0 on my iPad Mini 2. Thanks, Niki.

iReal Pro 7.0 with iOS 9.2.1: Are they compatible?

I have two iPad Minis (a version 1 and a version 2). I have upgraded iReal Pro to version 7.0 and am running iOS 9.2 which work well together (at least, so far). Every day, Apple reminds me to upgrade to iOS 9.2.1. I will do this upgrade if it compatible with the new version of iReal Pro. Thus...

Cool NEW Styles are HERE (in v7 2016)

Recording works very nicely, thank you! I've got to work out the details of how to balance iRP playback and sounds recorded by the microphone, but this new feature is terrific.

Cool NEW Styles are HERE (in v7 2016)

Bob: How does one record a performance on an iPad? I've downloaded the new version but see nothing to suggest how to do it. Nothing in the tutorials, either. It will be really great if somehow the iPad microphone could record a live performance while iRP plays a chord chart.

Ain't No Cure For Love (Jennifer Warnes) - Leonard Cohen

Ark, I thought about that solution (or using first, second, and third endings) as well as trying to use a DS al Sign. However, you stated that you wanted a true coda (assuming you want to play through the AA'BA'B' structure more than once). In your solution, you are using the coda to create B'...

Ain't No Cure For Love (Jennifer Warnes) - Leonard Cohen

I know that's what you want to do and it makes perfect sense. However think about this: how would you write out your structure on staff paper if you didn't have to concern yourself with how iRP works? Where would you place the repeat signs and multiple endings? I think my solution is pretty...

Ain't No Cure For Love (Jennifer Warnes) - Leonard Cohen

Here is a solution. Consider: Introduction = I Verse = A or A' (with different ending) Bridge = B or B' (with different ending) Your entire structure is: IAA'BA'B'. You'd like a coda too. My solution is to write out the I and A sections, then do the A'BA'B' with first and second endings. The...

    Player algorithm suggestions

With regard to the second suggestion: I've found the forced jump to the coda before a section is repeated to be a minor annoyance as well. There should be a way to indicate to iRP whether or not to jump to the coda before the repeat is taken. This is a very useful suggestion.

A Certain Smile - Sammy Fain-Paul Francis Webster

Hi Jer, I have to say that I never thought of a cadence in Dm at the end of the second A section. I do like your use of a chromatic bass line with tritone subs going into the C section. While I'm at it, I would like to complement you on the high quality of the large group of chord charts that...

A Certain Smile - Sammy Fain-Paul Francis Webster

"A Certain Smile" is a 1958 song composed by Sammy Fain with lyrics by Paul Francis Webster for the film of the same name. It is one of many songs the duo created for films of the period, the most notable being "Secret Love" and "Love Is A Many Splendored Thing" (both won the Academy Award for...

Moon Over Miami - Joe Burke-Edgar Leslie

"Moon Over Miami" was written in 1935 by Joe Burke and Edgar Leslie. It is an attractive and dreamy ballad. It has a standard AABA structure with a bridge in iii minor. There are many performances of this song on Youtube. I will present two different chord charts for this tune. The first uses...

"Oklahoma!" is a song from the musical play of 1943 of the same name with music by Richard Rogers and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II. Although each knew the other for many years, "OKlahoma!" was their first collaboration. The song itself is a an old-fashioned rousing tune in 2/4 style, not...

Carolina In The Morning - W. Donaldson

It turns out that my New Year's Eve gig was at a retirement home, and the folks really liked this tune. Interestingly, I've avoided playing very old tunes at gigs like this; I usually select tunes from the '40s, '50, and '60s, when my listeners were young adults. Perhaps I should include more...
