    So What - Miles Davis

Nimbleswitch, the sarcasm is out of place. I went to look at musicnotes.com's charts, and from what I can surmise, the key indication in the chart info is automatically compiled. I believe no serious musician would (could) say that "SW" is in Am (and even less so, in C major!). What probably...

    So What - Miles Davis

Hello Nimbleswitch. The accidentals on a chart (for certain songs) are for reference. Often I find they're plain wrong, or for "comfort" purposes (as in, simply a reference for referring to a song's key when talking about it, or calling it in a gig). The *real* indication of a song's key is that...

Barlines inserted at the BEGINNING of a system also make barlines show at the END of preceding system. I have found sometimes editing a chart with right barlines to be confusing in layout, when deleting or inserting measures. I have no problem with using only left barlines, since there really is...

    So What - Miles Davis

Nimbleswitch, remember to set the correct key in the song info, otherwise transposition will not work correctly (or at least, not intuitively...). It's set in Am, but should be Dm.

    Holiday

Hello Erikabear. I cleaned up the layout, corrected bar lines, and inserted author names. I don't know the song, so I hope the performance of the form is correct. Thanks for the submission. Cheers, David Man With The Bag, The - Brooks-Stanley

    Musical

Hello Nimbleswitch. A great collection!! Thanks. A few pointers: - the 7 in ø, o, and ∆ chords is redundant. You can omit it (as in normal music charts) since the player will recognize them anyway. Saves space, too. ;-) - having the author field different with the page numbers is a good idea...

Easy, actually: its default key, as saved in the "info" section. Playlist keys or transpositions shouldn't matter, in search. Or at least, it'd my business to keep that into account. Understand, and generally agree. But - if there is a feature, people will figure out how to use it as they...

Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word - Elton John

Hi Aimee. Perhaps your version is simpler and better for your uses, but the structure is wrong. (there are also a couple of imprecisions: - missing barline at end of Intro - "DS al coda" does not play because written wrongly, so not recognized (check list of correct indications in menu at left...

    So What - Miles Davis

Hi. Interesting chart. Remember to set the correct key in the "info" section, so transpositions and key display will be consistent. Happy playing.

Challenging Changes (At least to me)

Hi Stephen. I "corrected" the chart as per dflat's indications, and changed the key of the piece (Edit->Info->Key, choose and Set). If you set the key of the charts correctly, their transposition won't be confusing... Happy playing! Changes Drill - Exercise

What Is and What Should Never Be - Led Zeppelin

Wonderful addition!! Yes!!! I've loved this song from the first time I heard it - thanks, dashow2000. Keep in mind that for composer listings to make sense, 2+ authors should be listed as LastName1-LastName2 (or more). Regards.
