Keys change when I want to edit a certain tune

Probably because your play mode key is set to something other than the "Default" (the original key when the file was created). Check your settings. When in edit mode, the file always shows the default key. Also, this kind of question belongs in the Discussion Forum (under the version you're...

Alphabetical disorder in OSX Title list

iMac OSX Lion 10.7.5 (11G63) / iReal Pro Version 5.0 (6201) A minor irritation when trying to find titles: Songs are thrown out of alphabetical order depending on whether or not a word is capitalized. Screenshot provided as an example:

A couple of temporary bugs after downloading iOS Pro update

iPod Touch 4G iOS Version 6.1.5 (10B400) / iReal Pro Version 5.0.2 (17130) When first trying to play files, the count-in tempo didn't correspond with the song settings - it was always a slow ballad, and the Player would start before the count-in was finished. But all the files played normally...

Whistle While You Work - Frank Churchill

Hmm... I should switch to your brand of coffee. Still can't find a Disney thread, although I'm almost sure I've seen one.

Whistle While You Work - Frank Churchill

The Forum search leaves something to be desired. I couldn't find it either. Neither could I find a Disney thread (but I know there is one). Maybe I need more coffee... No reason to take this one down. In fact, you can't delete a thread, you can only edit it ;)

OSX Bug Report (Feb 8 2014)

And thank you. Just so you know why this was a concern: I always use the full 2-bar count on iOS/iPod when performing live, for some of the reasons dflat mentioned. But I do all the editing on OSX/iMac, where I don't need or want a long count-in just to preview my changes. Not having to reset...

OSX Bug Report (Feb 8 2014)

In that case I need to report, my settings all revert back to Auto when I open the program.

OSX Bug Report (Feb 8 2014)

So "Auto" is global, and 1 or 2 is only good for the individual songs? And, just curious, at what tempo does "slow" become "fast"? Yes, next time it happens I will make note of all conditions and settings. One more extremely minor thing: I've noticed the Editor drop-down Style menu only...

OSX Bug Report (Feb 8 2014)

When I open the program, the Preferences/Player Position Indicator color always reverts back to Yellow, and the Background Texture always reverts back to White. I can find no rhyme or reason with the Count In controler (1 Bar/2 Bars/Auto). Is this not a global setting?? It just seems to do as...

Comparison/differences between iReal Pro on iOS and OS X???

Using earphones I hear no discernible difference in sound quality, and neither are stereo. But if you plan to do much editing, OSX is infinitely easier. It's not merely cosmetic. Best 20 bucks I ever spent.

Major 7 augmented; Dominant 7 augmented

Very useful and I'll keep this in mind for charts I intend to post in the forum. You're right, I don't have the piano diagrams, so I won't see what results from using E-/F, G7/F, F^7#11 or F^9#11. Whichever sounds best to my ear within the Player's particular programming may not always be the...

Major 7 augmented; Dominant 7 augmented

It is at the top. Just the way I play crushed chords (in this case E-F-A-B) my brain hears ♭5 rather than #11 an octave higher. Probably makes no different in theory, but I never took music theory ;)

Major 7 augmented; Dominant 7 augmented

The only current ♭5 options combine the Dominant 7, which is why I can't use those. Here's one example of my work-around (on the first chord): https://forums.irealpro.com/threads/Never-Never-Land-(from-the-musical-Peter-Pan).8832/ Since I play piano (and mute that track) it makes no practical...

Major 7 augmented; Dominant 7 augmented

While we're in the neighborhood... I find myself frequently wishing ▵7♭5 was one of the alternatives. I'm usually able to get pretty close using workarounds (E-/F or G7/F for example) but of course those will mess up the bass line. So, if you're considering additional chord voices, please...

Performer category, user tags and keywords

I think of Bob's suggestion as more like a book's Index. Expanded searchable data would make it easier to locate songs not already placed in a particular Playlist folder. Whereas, cgriffin's suggestion could be an ideal teaching tool. To some degree, ANY jazz version will be different from the...

Performer category, user tags and keywords

Great idea, Bob. This is kinda how iTunes is set up, with multiple ways to sort from a song's information. But your version would more useful and much more versatile.

Never Never Land - Jule Styne

Never Never Land (from the musical Peter Pan) Never Never Land - Jule Styne A much-overlooked piece that should be on the list of standard jazz waltzes right up there with Someday My Prince, Bluesette & My Favorite Things (although it also works as a straight swing or ballad). These are not...
