The Great Gig Book (Blue Book)

This would be great! It would make searches more convenient and allow us to compare different interpretations. But it sounds a bit like trying to herd cats, so Good Luck with that! ;)

    which tablet

For me (aging eyesight, fumbly fingers, etc.) the larger the display the better. If I could afford one, I'd get the iPad Pro with its 12.9-in. display, but I can't. Like Bob said, Android tablets are less expensive. I got an RCA Maven Pro. The 11.6-in. screen was the largest I could find with an...

Yes, different song. (My favorite version of ItsAWonderfulWorld is by PeggyLee.) I'll post my chart in TheForum. Here https://forums.irealpro.com/threads/It-s-A-Wonderful-World-(different-song-than-quot-What-A-quot-).13435/

How to make a jazz waltz Playback with a light, bouncy feel?

Bob, as you probably noticed, just changing the time sig to 3/2 doubles the phrasing. Here's my finished chart. 6/4 gives the bass lines a little more freedom in the bars with just one chord. I also added a vamp outro, and increased the tempo a bit. Johnny, I Hardly Knew Ya (E- Waltz) - Joseph...

How to make a jazz waltz Playback with a light, bouncy feel?

"Swing Two/Four" is pretty bouncy. "Doo Doo Cats" even more so. And here are some jazzy, less-dirge-like changes. Johnny, I Hardly Knew Ya (E-) - Joseph B. Geoghegan

Want to copy playlist from iphone/ipad to computer

Well, it's what I use to transfer OSX iRP files to Android, but I guess it was more out of general curiosity. Regarding AirDrop, like I said, my iPod Touch is 4th Gen so it won't work. Instead, I use two free apps - DiskAid for OSX and FileApp for iOS - which exchange files directly via USB...

Want to copy playlist from iphone/ipad to computer

Can the iOS people enlighten me? (I'm still on my old 4G iPod so I don't know about the latest version.) There's an app that comes installed with OSX called "Bluetooth File Exchange" that lets me transfer files easily back and forth between my iMac and my Android tablets. I am dumbfounded that...

We can no longer copy and paste sharp and flat symbols into text, right?

    Symbols I use frequently, and would like to continue using if possible: ♩ ♭ ♮ ♯ > ● • ⌈ 3 ⌉ ⌊ 3 ⌋ ©

Love Potion No 9 - Jerry Leiber-Mike Stoller

Since we're doing different takes, here's the one I actually play on my gigs. I do it with a feel similar to Watermelon Man (although I won't go so far as to post this in the Jazz Forum). Love Potion No 9 (F-) - Jerry Leiber-Mike Stoller (Note: A few errant double-bars are placed where I...

    Finger-clickin' count-in?

For me, the best (i.e. least dorky) count-in setting on a live gig is "Drumsticks" at low volume. But "Finger Snaps" is a cool  idea! You should post that suggestion in the "Features Request" section. And welcome to the Forum!

You Belong To Me - Price-King-Stewart

The latest version of iRP does ignore the fermata completely. But in older versions (which I still have on my 4thGen iPod Touch) you must place the End command on the following beat for it to work.

You Belong To Me - Price-King-Stewart

Hmm, well I guess you have your reasons to shun the global repeats function. But to answer your question, I'd suggest using a Coda since the other way could be confusing. The files I post to the forum are usually plain vanilla and don't include my personal intros and outros, but here's my full...

You Belong To Me - Price-King-Stewart

You Belong To Me (G) - Price-King-Stewart My ballad version with a few extra changes for fluidity. (For a truer 1950s feel, change the style to Pop 12/8.)

Move the style bar out of the way

I wouldn't mind having the style bar somewhere less prominent. I also touch it by accident once or twice on a gig - I press play for every song, but it's very rare that I want to change the style during a performance.
