Montmartre - Dexter Gordon

Interlude.

Hi guys,

I'm new in here and new to the app.

Question that it is driving me crazy. !! :

There is a song by Dexter Gordon named Montmartre, which has an "interlude" at the end. What it means is that the last 6 measures are only to be played with the melody and NOT in the solos. How do you write this in the app so it does that??? I hope I'm explaining myself

Thanks in advance and here you have a new friend from Mexico

For help with a chart post your chart here in iRp format so members can download it and open it in the editor.

The “best” answer for your situation depends on your specific chart.

Is the interlude played on both the head-in and head-out? Is there an intro and/or Outro (coda) in addition?

The song’s form is AABA. Is the interlude added only to the final A ?

Is the whole AABA form (w/o the interlude) played for each solo?

Is the posted chart (w/ the coda) exactly right for the final song repeat (head out)?
If so, you also want the coda on the 1st time too (head in) but not for any song repeats (solos) in between the 1st and Final times. Right?

The structure we need has the 8-bar interlude after the first 32-bar head AND after the last 32-bar head,
in the middle are solos over the 32-bar head-form but with no interlude:

head interlude solo solo solo solo head interlude
AABA INTERLUDE AABA AABA AABA AABA AABA INTERLUDE

I'm struggling to find a way to program it... ideally a ""first and last time only"" direction
